Smoked Trout Pate
Ingredients
- 1 pound trout smoked (salmon or whitefish are good options)
- 2/3 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chives fresh, chopped
- 1 3/4 ounces roe whitefish (or caviar of choice)
- endive, cucumbers, plantain chips, or crackers (or a variety)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, break up smoked trout with a fork until there are no large chunks.
- Add cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice and pepper and stir to thoroughly combine. Stir in chives.
- Place in a serving dish and top with roe.
- Serve with crackers, plantain chips, sliced cucumber, endive leaves or a variety.
