Ingredients

  • 1 pound trout smoked (salmon or whitefish are good options)
  • 2/3 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chives fresh, chopped
  • 1 3/4 ounces roe whitefish (or caviar of choice)
  • endive, cucumbers, plantain chips, or crackers (or a variety)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, break up smoked trout with a fork until there are no large chunks.
  • Add cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice and pepper and stir to thoroughly combine. Stir in chives.
  • Place in a serving dish and top with roe.
  • Serve with crackers, plantain chips, sliced cucumber, endive leaves or a variety.
