A Simple Pan-Seared Steak sounds fancy and yet can be done any time of year on your stove top in 15 minutes or less. It’s best to use an oven-proof cast iron, stainless steel, or carbon steel pan—or another words, a pan that is intended to take high heat and can go into the oven. Season one or more steaks (depending on how many people you are serving) with salt and pepper or make a simple all-purpose seasoning for added flavor AND nutrition. Alternatively, you can grill the steak.
