Ingredients

  • 3/4 pounds tuna sushi grade (yellowfin, bluefin, or skipjack), sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 medium red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2/3 cups lime juice freshly squeezed (about 6 limes)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 large avocado medium dice

Instructions

  • Combine the tuna, onion, lime juice and zest, and salt in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate to marinate for 1 hour, stirring every 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Stir in the cilantro and avocado immediately before serving.
